Customer support was great too, they responded me the same day when I had a question. Doesn't give you a lot, but what they give you for the price is really good and in my opinion absolutely worth the money. Has a lot of stuff, but also a lot of mediocre stuff (hard to filter).īut if you want actual quality and good sound, NeuralDSP for sure.

I use different effects from other VST's that do things like chorus and delay/reverb, so I don't have the use case.Īll in all, BiasFX, good to explore if you're totally new and don't have a lot of gear for yourself. I already use my own stompboxes and pedals so I don't want all of those pedals in BiasFX, most of them sound really aweful anyway. They just stuffed their expansion packs with a load of stuff you don't really asked for or wanted. BiasFX gives you a lot for very litte, but you also pay the price for it. Really they give you what you want and a little bit extra, not what you don't want. I'm totally overboard and will recommend and spend more of my hard earned cash on all expansions, but in my time and only the ones I really want. Neural DSP, not much factory presets, but I like say 95% of them and they all can be used for the one or another. Just one Archetype or one of the amp packs is really all you need if you're chasing the sound of one of your favorite guitarists (and more to come). I'm not bound by a ton of amps that I did not want in the first place. I did not regret it at all and I can decide whether I want to upgrade to another archetype or another cab/amp set or just leave it. For practice it's fine.ĭidn't regret, even though "expansion" in the form of archetypes or amp/cab packs (which are just a few) and are quite expensive. Possible but not recommended for recording. In BiasFX it's like kinda set in stone and it's difficult to change something on the split chain. I usually end up with multi tracking for multiple amps anyway because it gives you a lot more play area in setting up how those work together or against eachother. Most of the amps sound just oké I guess, but there is not a lot of play room in combining different amp. Really, I haven't used any of my many impulse responses in a long time.BiasFX The cabinet sim is subpar to state the least. I got sick of it and went to NeuralDSP.īut the amps sound so much more natural to me, like I'm actual using my tube amp but then on PC. And they didn't really reply to me in a polite customer oriented manner, really they appointed it was my problem but would once again re-activate my license. After the 50th time my BiasFX license was deactivated on it's own and having to contact customer support once again.
